Ayesha, the Return of She by Sir H Rider Haggard. This anthology is a thorough introduction to classic literature for those who have not yet experienced these literary masterworks. For those who have known and loved these works in the past, this is an invitation to reunite with old friends in a fresh new format.   This sequel to the better known, and more popular "She" is, in my opinion, considerably better. There's more action and adventure than it's predecessor (which, however should be read first in order to make full sense of "Ayesha"), and the exciting scenes are more vividly described; the final battle scenes for example have rarely been bettered (reminds me of Tolkein in some respects)/5(4).

book per diem A book a day keeps the boredom away. Used, rare, vintage and antiquarian; classic literature, a favorite book from your childhood, a piece of printed history - you will find them all here. SHE She follows the journey of Horace Holly and his ward, Leo Vincey, to a lost African kingdom where they meet the Amahagger people and the mysterious queen, Ayesha, who reigns as â Sheâ or â She-who-must-be-obeyed.â AYESHA-THE RETURN OF SHE "The Return of She," is a worthy sequel, and one that all admirers of Haggard's original story should enjoy Edition: 2 in 1.

Written as the sequel to "She", "Ayesha: The Return of She" stands on its own, and I find it even more enjoyable than the original story (but "She" does make for a good prequel - as I read them out of sequence). Our hero Leo, sets out with his friend to seek out his long lost love. Read "Ayesha, the Return of She" by H. Rider Haggard available from Rakuten Kobo. H.
